The CNW had a major yard and backshop with a transfer table and turntable at Cedar Lake shops at Mpls MN. It survived until the early 1980. Parts of the roundhouse were used as studio room for filming parts of the movie Purple Rain until the shops were torn down. Alcos sometimes came here for repairs including the big high nosed Alco C628s. |
